About Wedding Photographers of Oahu
By the Wedding Photographers of Oahu editorial team
Wedding Photographers of Oahu is an independent editorial directory of professional wedding photographers working on Oahu. It is researched, written, and maintained by a small editorial team based in Hawaii. We are not a photography studio, we do not take bookings, and we have no financial relationship with any photographer listed here.
How photographers are chosen. We look for working professionals with an established body of Oahu wedding work, an active business, and a portfolio we would feel comfortable pointing a friend toward. The directory aims to be comprehensive rather than exclusive; being listed is not an award, and not being listed usually just means we have not gotten to someone yet. Photographers can introduce themselves through our Get Featured page.
How profiles are written. Every profile is original editorial writing based on each photographer's public portfolio, published interviews, and client reviews. We describe styles and strengths honestly, including who each photographer tends to suit, because a directory that calls everyone perfect for everything is useless. Profiles link directly to each photographer's own website and Instagram, where their work speaks for itself. Photographs shown on profiles are displayed via official Instagram embeds or with the photographer's direct permission.
Ordering. The directory is alphabetical. We do not rank photographers, and no one can pay to appear higher, because payment is not accepted from anyone.
Corrections and removal. If you are a photographer listed here and anything in your profile is inaccurate or out of date, tell us and we will fix it promptly. If you would prefer not to be listed at all, we will remove your profile, no questions asked. Use the form on our Get Featured page for corrections, updates, or removal requests: it is the fastest way to reach us, and it works for photographers and couples alike.
For couples. Our advice is simple: use the profiles to shortlist three or four photographers whose work and temperament fit your day, then go look at full galleries on their own sites and talk to them directly. The best photographer on this list is the one whose work you keep coming back to.
